THE FALLEN FAWN
The suitcase contained everything the woman had left. At nightfall, the sisters ran their fingers through her box of burdens, applied her makeup, their lips kissed by the secrets of the Fallen Fawn

This series is based on a personal account of my two older sisters who when they adolescents, discovered a woman's suitcase near the river behind their house. It is sequenced in such a way to illustrate the two parallel narratives of the sisters discovering the suitcase, the consequences of their secret, and an implicit tale of the woman, the “Fallen Fawn,” who is revealed through her deserted belongings.
